Open space technology
The organization Ugdymo Meistrai (Master of Education) is responsible for a large part of continuing education and development projects in Lithuanian schools. In 2019 I was in Vilnius and gave a Key Note presentation to 400 education leaders at the "Education Leader's Forum". They wanted to strengthen the development/modernization of management and organization in schools. _cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
I put together a presentation that was both supportive and encouraging and at the same time a bit challenging and pushing some dogma. I used my experiences as a school leader and head of school and combined them with my knowledge of facilitating development processes. The presentation moved both on the meta-level with theory and general experiences and on the very concrete level, which could connect to the audience's everyday life and options for action the next day. The presentation was coordinated along the way with the seminar's planners.
In 2023 I was again invited to give a Key Note presentation. Lithuania has received solid financial EU support for the development of the schools, and wanted external input and inspiration for the process. This presentation was more about pedagogy, competence development and project management.
